SVC-DUST-01Dustless sanding for cleaner preparation
Good sanding helps create a smooth surface for paint. Connected dust extraction captures much of the dust as it’s produced, helping us prepare your surfaces while keeping the work area cleaner.
We use Festool and Mirka equipment as part of our preparation for suitable painting and refinishing work.
Where we use it
- Interior walls and ceilings
- Cabinet and door preparation
- Timber and joinery restoration
- Repairs and previously painted surfaces
Less dust. Careful preparation.
Dust extraction helps reduce airborne dust and the amount that settles around the work area. We also protect surrounding surfaces and clean as the job progresses.
“Dustless” is the common name for the process, but it doesn’t mean completely dust-free. The surface, task and access all affect how much dust can be captured.

Common questions
Is dustless sanding completely dust-free?
No. Extraction captures much of the dust at the source, but some can still escape. We combine it with protection and cleaning to help keep dust under control.
Can you sand while we’re living there?
Often, yes. We’ll discuss the work area, access and any precautions before starting, so you know which rooms can remain in use.
Planning a repaint or restoration?
Send us photos and tell us what needs attention. We’ll explain the preparation we recommend as part of the estimate.
